1、 Product Description:

Wool paper, also called paper calender roll paper, calender roll paper, embossing roll paper and graining roll paper, gets its common industry name “wool paper” because its raw material formulation incorporates a certain proportion of wool fibers.

Wool paper is the core main material for manufacturing paper calender rolls (wool rolls), as well as the primary raw material for producing such roll components.

Wool paper is produced from a blend of cotton fibers and wool fibers (wool content: 10%–40%). The stock is formed on a fourdrinier or inclined wire paper machine, then finished through multiple processes including slitting, inspection, sorting, finishing and packaging. It can be custom fabricated into octagonal or square shapes of specified dimensions to meet customers’ practical application requirements.

Wool rolls made mainly from wool paper are widely used in calendering, embossing and graining processes for paper, woven fabrics, leather and other materials. They are also suitable for plastic film calendering, cold-rolled steel sheet polishing and other processing applications. In recent years, their use has gradually expanded into calendering of advanced materials such as nonwoven fabrics and carbon fiber fabrics.

Wool rolls manufactured primarily from wool paper exhibit excellent resilience and dimensional recoverability of the paper calender layer under working pressure. In addition, wool paper withstands high-temperature operating environments without thermal deformation. Leveraging these properties, materials pressed by paper calender rolls (wool rolls) — including paper, cloth, leather, nonwoven fabrics, carbon fiber fabrics and other new materials — feature uniform thickness, low deformation, and desirable hand feel and luster, enabling consistent quality assurance of processed products.
